Yeah, I woke up this morning at 7 AM so I could make chicken and dumplings for a potluck my team at work had today. It was smelled wonderful but was rather time consuming. When it was time to go to work I had plenty of time to go to Big Lots first to buy bowls in which to serve the food. Well, Big Lots didn't have bowls so I bought cups to eat from instead, not a huge deal but not what I had wanted. I bought the cups and drove to work. At Mainsgate Rd, for those of you who don't know it's the road right next to T-Mobile's parking lot, some jerk slammed on his brakes and turned without a signal. Of course I had to be the car driving behind and had to slam the brakes as well. This caused the lid to slide off the crock pot on my passenger side floorboard and half of the food spill on the floor. When I parked I tried to clean up as much as I could and in so doing I didn't have a close enough eye on my watch and was 2 minutes late for work. No big thing many of you are saying, but I am applying for a new position and it doesn't look so good on my application to be late. Hopefully they won't put too much weight on tardiness. ;) Now, if any of you ride in my car anytime soon, this is an explanation of why it smells like chicken.
